Lots of new stuff from M Audio, including two new additions to their popular Delta audio cards. The first, the Delta 1010-LT, is a10 in /10 out 24bit 96kHz audio card with mic preamps, digital I/O, MIDI I/O, and much more. Next up, the Delta 410, is a 4 in/10 out 24-bit/96kHz full-duplex recording interface with zero latency monitoring and powerful digital mixing capabilities. Finally, there’s the Duo, an affordable USB audio interface that gives you 2 mic/line inputs with M Audio’s acclaimed mic preamps. It can be switched to a “Standalone” mode that allows it to be used as a mic preamp and A/D converter independent of your computer.
Waldorf is making a hardware version of their Attack VST plug-in. The new Rack Attack has 25 voices with two LFO’s and two envelopes per voice. Other features include analog inputs, built-in effects, and a VST compatibility mode.
A new service for HALion users goes on line today. Steinberg and Wizoo have teamed up to offer an on-line library of samples for the HALion software sampler, with the ability to download sounds immediately or have them shipped on CD.
