Abbreviation for Linear Time Base. LTB is a technology developed by Steinberg for more accurate transmission of MIDI data. It works inside some of their newer MIDI Interfaces and newer versions of software to provide MIDI timing resolution down to 300 micro-seconds. In some ways its function is similar to Mark of the Unicorn’s MTS (MIDI Time Stamping) technology.
