Locking Tremolo

Another term for a locking vibrato, this is a system that clamps the strings at the nut and bridge, in an effort to stabilize tuning, particularly when a player makes extensive use of the tremolo arm for pitch dives and other effects. This is sometimes also called a double-locking system.
