A Lexan overlay is a thin sheet of polycarbonate that has software-specific nomenclature (usually intended for software DAWs or virtual instruments) on the front side and an adhesive on the back. It is designed to be placed over a given controller and associate the buttons, sliders and other controls with specific software commands.
