A portable personal computer that includes an integral QWERTY keyboard, and a built-in folding video display/monitor. Laptop computers can run off batteries or an external power supply. Most have one or zero expansion slots, and generally have less connectivity for peripherals than desktop or tower computers. Laptops are generally slower than desktop or tower computers, due to the requirement that their CPU, hard drive, and circuits be able to operate off of battery power.
