Native Instruments unveiled their KORE system at Winter NAMM. The goal is to bring some sort of order to the overwhelming number of software instruments, effects, presets, and varying operating concepts. All VST and Audio Units instruments and effects can be loaded into the KORE software and then presented in a clearly structured, uniform interface. The company’s KORE countdown consists of weekly updates, each detailing one of the major aspects of KORE and its benefits for us totally overwhelmed (but deliriously happy) musicians. Each week will bring a new chapter of information, leading up to the actual introduction of the entire system at Musikmesse Frankfurt 2006 on March 29th. The first chapter of the KORE countdown gives a look at the unified interface that KORE provides for software instruments and effects.
