ISRC

Abbreviation for the International Standard Recording Code. An ISRC is encoded into every manufactured compact disc. It contains information about the country of origin, the owner, the year of recording and the serial number of a recording. Some CD authoring programs allow the user to program the ISRC before burning discs.
