Individual Out

A mixer, keyboard, drum machine, or audio interface output designed to carry a signal that is separate from a stereo mix output. An individual output is often used to separate a particular signal from a mix so that it can be processed differently from the mix. For example, a hardware or software drum machine might feature a stereo output that carries the primary mix of all the instruments, and also have one or more individual outputs that can be each used to carry separate kick drum, snare drum, or other instruments that might need to be equalized or compressed in a different way from the main stereo mix.
