Glide

This is a another term for glissando or portamento. Most often used for monophonic lead sounds, glide allows one note to smoothly bend or slide up the scale to the next note. It would be similar to using the pitch bend wheel on a synth to bend a note up by a specific interval, for example, a major third or even a whole octave.
