Freeing Stuck CDs

Q: For some reason, I can no longer eject CDs from my iMac. I have tried using the eject key on my keyboard and also the eject button in iTunes, but neither works. I keep getting an error message saying that the disc is in use by another application. What’s going on?

A: This is a known bug in iTunes version 7.7, check to see if that’s what you are running. Currently, iTunes is at version 8.0.2, so switching to the newer version should solve your problem. It’s a free download.
