Designed to deliver high-quality time-stretching and pitch-shifting for all Digidesign Pro Tools and Avid DNA systems, Time Shift is a free DigiRack AudioSuite plug-in for Mac OS X (PowerPC only at this point) and Windows XP. With four distinct algorithms, you can tailor the Time Shift processing to match a wide range of source material. For example, you’d choose Polyphonic to change a guitar or keyboard performance or even a full mix. Select Monophonic if you’re altering a lead vocal or solo instrument. If you want to compress or stretch a
loop, pick Rhythmic mode. There’s also a Varispeed function you can use when converting the sample rate of an audio file. You can download Time Shift freeware from the Digidesign Web site.
