EQ Creep

A common affliction among both mix and mastering engineers where changing one band of EQ causes an irresistable urge to change another band. For example, increasing the bass EQ makes the treble EQ seem to dark, and so on, resulting in an EQ “arms race” and ultimate annihilation of the mix quality.
