End Button

Another term for the end pin of an acoustic guitar. The end button is a peg or pin inserted into a hole in the end block of an acoustic guitar. The end pin may be a solid piece of wood, ivory, or synthetic material, and usually also serves as the button for attaching the guitar strap. If the acoustic guitar includes electronics, the output jack may be mounted “coaxially” in the center of the end pin, so that an extra hole doesn’t need to be drilled in the side of the guitar.
