Occasionally I have seen Digital Performer claim there is no FreeMIDI configuration file upon launch. You can open your FreeMIDI setup and see the file, but DP won’t recognize it.
The fix is to quit all applications, trash the FreeMIDI preferences and FreeMIDI Setup preferences. Make sure you have only one configuration document (the one you’ve saved from before). Double click that document, which will open it up in FreeMIDI setup. Quit, then open up Digital Performer. Everything should be fine. If the problem reoccurs try making a new FreeMIDI setup from scratch.
