A format of AES/EBU data transfer that accommodates higher sample rates, such as 96 k Hz. Double Fast is similar in concept to Double Wide, but instead of using two AES ports it simply doubles the data rate over one port. Double Fast and Double Wide are not compatible with one another, and at the time of this writing both are widely used.
