These days, with virtual instruments and hardware synths coming loaded with literally thousands of presets, many people find it difficult spending the time to learn to program those synths — there’s probably a preset that will do the job for you!
But in many cases, a preset will be close to what you want, but may not quite hit the nail on the head. You could delve into the synth parameters to perfect it. (Of course, it’s well worth your while to learn how to at least make quick tweaks inside your virtual and hardware synths, but this tip will do the trick when you need a quick adjustment.)
