Crossover Frequency

“Crossover frequency” refers to the specific frequency at which a crossover divides the audio information into separate frequency ranges. Nearly all speaker cabinets used in PA systems or HiFi and studio systems have multiple speakers that are optimized for specific frequencies; the crossover frequency will be designed to divide the audio signal at the optimal frequency for best performance using the included speakers.
