A hybrid (combination of pick and pick-hand fingers) picking technique in which a picking hand finger is used to mute a string while plucking the string with a guitar pick. This creates a percussive sound that somewhat resembles the cluck a chicken. Another aspect of this technique is when a picking hand finger plucks the string and lets it “twang” back against the fretboard.
