Avid has unveiled the Pro Tools S3, a compact control surface that also integrates a 4×6 AVB audio interface. The S3 is compatible with EUCON-enabled DAWs, such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Media Composer, and others. The S3 puts virtually every software parameter under your fingertips using 16 motorized faders, 32 knobs (16 assignable, 8 channel, 8 global), and an extensive array of meters, LED displays, and buttons. The 4×6 audio interface section includes two XLR mic/line inputs, two 1/4-inch line inputs, stereo XLR outputs, stereo 1/4-inch outputs, headphone out, and footswitch in. USB ports connect to your mouse and keyboard, while Ethernet connects the S3 to your computer. A cool ribbon controller provides intuitive transport control. Using the S3 is a breeze with its 12 recallable user control layouts and sleek, friendly ergonomics.
