Avid has released EuControl v3.2.2, the latest version of the software that runs its S3 and Avid Artist series of control surfaces. This new version is the first to support the Avid Artist series under OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
The update also includes the highly anticipated Soft Key Editor for S3, which allows any keyboard shortcut or EuCon-enabled function to be assigned to the touch strip, the set of switches on the lower left side of the surface, or the switches in the right center section. The S3 can also be combined with an Artist Transport for increased functionality.
Another new S3 feature is support for new layouts for third party plug-in page tables. Currently McDSP supports these page tables, and other manufacturers are expected to take advantage of this as well.
