We’ve just received the Gibson Gold Tone series of guitar amps. These beauties have pure class-A tube electronics, built in reverb, and sport very simple vintage controls, including the ability to switch between triode and pentode tube operation. The GA-15 is 15 watts into a single 12 inch Celestion vintage speaker. The GA-15RV adds more inputs and the ability to link amps together and a level control for the reverb. The GA-30RVS is a stereo 15 watt version with a stereo effects loop.
Algorithmic Arts has posted version 1.3 of their Softstep MIDI algorithmic step sequencer for Windows 95/98/2000. If you’ve never tried algorithmic composition tools you should check it out. It’s a very different way of thinking. Some like it; some hate it. The LE version, which is basically similar to the old Moog step sequencers is a free download, but the Pro version has a ton of very interesting algorithmic tools. If nothing else, it looks way cool.
