The good folks at Native Instruments have announced that registered Akoustik Piano owners can now download the version 1.1 update for free on their Web site. This new version includes support for up to 150 voices and includes many other performance enhancements, like an improved user-interface, a new recorder function, stretch tuning, re-pedalling and a bass boost.
Akoustik Piano offers up the superb sampled sound quality, expressiveness, and playability of three of the most revered grand pianos on the planet: the Steinway D, Bechstein D 280, and Boesendorfer 290 Imperial Grand. The package even includes a wonderfully quirky Steingraeber 130 vintage upright piano for special applications. Version 1.1 supports both Kontakt 2.1 and Kore and includes stand-alone operations, as well as the standard VST, Audio Units, RTAS, DXi, ASIO, Core Audio, and DirectSound plug-in formats.
