Today, June 9, the legendary musician/inventor, Les Paul, would have turned 100 years old. Though we lost Les back in 2009, the celebration of his centenary birthday is still on! For one day only, on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, Gibson USA is running great contest to celebrate Les’s birthday — and you could be the winner of a free Gibson USA guitar! Here’s the deal:
- Buy a new Gibson USA 2015 Les Paul 100 from a Gibson authorized dealer (Sweetwater, of course) on the 9th of June, 2015.
- Write a short essay on why you love your new 2015 Gibson USA Les Paul 100 guitar and submit it to the Gibson contest website before the 30th of June, 2015.
- All new Gibson USA guitars with the Les Paul 100 signature on the headstock are eligible.
- The top 10% best-rated essays will be declared winners and will have the cost of their new 2015 Gibson USA Les Paul 100th guitar fully reimbursed!
That’s right, one in ten contest entrants will be be fully reimbursed for their guitar! Qualifying guitars for this contest have the “Les Paul 100” logo on their headstock. So if it has this logo on the headstock, it qualifies:
