A recording studio that features and utilizes both digital and analog technologies. In many cases, this means recording, editing, and processing in a computer-based DAW, while using analog summing or an analog mixer as well as analog processing, such as compressors and EQs, and hardware effects, such as reverbs and delays. “Hybrid studio” could also indicate a studio that combines analog multitrack tape recording with digital editing, processing, and mixing. There are many other possible examples and combinations of digital and analog technologies working together to make a complete recording studio.
