New in stock at Sweetwater Sound: The Zoom GFX-8 is here, and sporting a new acronym to go with it. VAMS (Variable Architecture Modeling System) is a technology they’ve deployed to allow the GFX-8 to accurately model guitar amps and pre-amps while also allowing for flexible effects routing and processing. All in all it looks like an amazing guitar processor for the price ($499.99 retail).
We’re almost embarrassed on this one, but hey, we don’t make the news, we just report it. And this is unique enough and funny enough to warrant a blurb. For those of you who like lots of knobs and lights in your rack, Funk Logic is making rack space filler gear that looks like the real thing, but isn’t. Oh boy. At least they have a sense of humor about it.
