Seems like we can’t go a day without talking about Universal Audio products. And now, at the Paris AES Show, UA has announced the UAD-1e Express PAK ($499) and UAD-1e Expert PAK ($999) for the latest PCIe-based Mac and PC computers. The company says the new “e” versions will ship in Q3 2006 bundled with a free plug-in suite that includes vintage equalizers and compressors, mastering tools, lush reverbs, guitar FX, and officially licensed classic hardware emulations from Roland and Neve. Customers also get vouchers for $100 (Express) and $750 (Expert), which owners can use to purchase UA plug-in authorizations online at any time. Both the UAD-1 and UAD-1e can be used together seamlessly in the same system.
