The highlight of Melodyne cre8 3.2 is a new algorithm specifically designed for percussive material. This represents an enormous improvement in terms of overall sound quality. Melodyne Studio 3.2 also comes with an improved Poly algorithm that now supports formant correction. Also new in both cre8 and Studio are the handy Zoom/Scroll faders that facilitate both orientation and navigation, an improved activation system that is far easier to use, and various other improvements and bug fixes. Furthermore, the option of transferring your license to an iLok, for which you previously had to pay, is now free of charge from Version 3.2 onward.
Focusrite has announced that version 2.0 software for their multi-channel DSP-based EQ and compression tool, Liquid Mix, is now available as a free download from its website for registered users. The software provides some extremely useful improvements and several solutions to popular requests from Liquid Mix users, including enhanced interaction between software and hardware, as well as expanded latency options. Also, Liquid Mix sample rates can now be changed without having to worry about any open instances of the program. When the sample rate is changed, all instances will reconfigure according to the new settings.
Audio Ease has updated the Mac OS X versions of Altiverb to v6.1.0. Changes and enhancements mainly refer to Pro Tools and TDM applications:
