Fender has introduced a new service, Custom Care, for Fender Custom Shop instruments. Benefits of custom care include:
- Warranty extension – limited lifetime coverage for the original owner
- Priority service – a toll-free phone line and an e-mail address provide easy contact and priority response to inquiries
- Worldwide repair and service – after evaluation at a local certified Custom Care center, the intrument owner can request their desired location for the repair/service
- Free round-trip shipping for warranty repairs
- Special documentation and confirmation of personalized setup specs
- No work performed without owner’s informed consent
- Free 21-point inspection and setup on arrival of instrument for Custom Care service
- Complete documentation – a full service report will accompany all products serviced in-house
In addition, if repairs or improvements that fall outside warranty service are discovered during the inspection, the owner will be contacted and provided a quote and time estimate. At that time the instrument owner can decide whether to proceed with recommended non-warranty service or not.
