From inSync reader John Danis comes the following – A suggestion for Mac Powerbook 150 (maybe other models) users running Passport Design products: If you are having problems with system lockup when you try to run Master Trax Pro or Encore, try using Conflict Catcher. The problem causing the lockup is a series of small translators located in the backwaters of other applications, and the system software on the startup disk. For the record, part of the conflict ended up being in the Extensions Manager init! Conflict Catcher finds these inits and either disables them or reorders the init load at startup.
