SCSI drives on the MX-2424

“What are the hard drive requirements for Tascam’s MX-2424?”

In order to meet SCSI hard drive requirements of the MX-2424 (especially when you intend to use it with Digidesign’s Pro Tools) the following information is offered:

1. SCSI Interface: 68-pin wide single-ended or LVD (Ultra 2 or Ultra 160)
2. RPM: 7200 or faster
3. Seek Time: 8.5 ms or faster
4. Internal Formatted Transfer Rate: 17 – 30 MB/sec or faster
5. Recommended:
a. Seagate Barracuda or Cheetah
b. IBM Ultrastar
c. Maxtor Atlas V or Atlas 10K
