Automatic Backup Files in Logic Pro

When you go to save a song in Apple’s Logic Pro, the application will first make a safety copy of the previous file. You can switch this feature off in Global Preferences or you can set the total number of backup files that can be made and stored, which is any number up to 100. Backup files are saved in a backup folder within the Project folder and carry the “.bak” file name extension. What this means is that if you’ve just spent the last hour making changes to your song, only to realize it sounded better before you started mucking around with it, you can quickly get back to where you were.
