Here’s a tip for users of certain Mesa/Boogie amps who find them to be too loud for some situations: any Boogie amp with a “TWEED” setting on the power switch (i.e., Mark I Reissue, Mark IV, Mark V, Lone Star 100, etc.) can accept 6V6 tubes when running in tweed mode. Note this is only an option when you are running in TWEED mode — in other power modes the 6V6 tubes will burn out quickly.
