Go Phasey with Your Tone!

If you dig that classic '60s/'70s phase tone the way the guitarists here at Sweetwater do, then you're going to love rocking out with this Behringer Vintage Phaser VP1 effects pedal. Traditional to the core, the VP1 gives you just a single rate knob plus a very cool Tone switch, which lets you invert the polarity of the effect. The effect of flipping the VP1's Tone switch lets you take it from a more traditional phaser to a more lush, almost vibrato-like effect. As for the rate knob, this allows you to dial in anything from a jet-engine sweep to the kind of psychedelic warbling that makes your guitar sound like a chattering robot.

Behringer Vintage Phaser VP1 Guitar and Bass Effects Pedal Features:
  • Dial in authentic and classic 3-dimensional phase shifting effects
  • Dedicated Rate control offers a range from rapid rotary speaker to impressive jet plane effects
  • Tone switch provides negative and positive feedback modes for more or less detuned sounds
  • Runs on standard 9V battery or optional power supply for full pedalboard integration
  • True-bypass switching preserves your tone when the effect is off

Great Job For The Price!
I normally have no use for effects as a bass player, but when the band decided to add "Stranglehold" to the list I decided I needed a Phaser to reproduce the sound exactly. Did some research and the unit used by the bass in the song was, let's say orange and a hundred bucks. I wasn't paying that to use in one song, so I bought this on a bet. It reproduces the sound exactly. I run it off my Hartke HD508 send and receive to keep it off the floor. It is quite transparent and there isn't a volume differential when on or off. The guys in the band were amazed at the job it did, as was I. For what I needed it for, it does exactly what I wanted it to do.

The best phaser I've ever owned.
Music background: Been playing and singing since 1969. So I do know quite a bit about music from the 50's 60's 70' & 80's.
Set your phasers to stun...
Great clone of the EHx Small Stone phaser that doesn't hurt your wallet. Other than its bulky size, I can't really complain how well it does its job. A nice introduction to phasers. Get one, you won't regret it!

Great pedal That's budget friendly
Cool phaser, great price
Disregard prior statements about price. I was looking in the wrong area & therefore wrote with the wrong information. The pedal does what it's supposed to do & does it well. Was expecting a plastic enclosure so the metal casing was a nice surprise. Thanks to Zac Coleman for always making sure my purchases are good to go!
