A trio of ceramic-inspired voices
Generally preferred in the bridge position, Fishman’s Fluence Modern Ceramic Humbucker boasts three distinct tonal voices to swap between.
Voice 1: A screaming active ceramic humbucker bite with ultra-tight low end and a crisp, mud-free response. Sweetwater’s modern metal fanatics are particularly fond of this voice’s brutal onslaught of aggressive tones.
Voice 2: This voice is modeled after modern high-output passive ceramic humbuckers, yielding a slightly more open feel with exceptional dynamics.
Voice 3: Fishman’s Fluence Modern pickups now sport a sparkling single-coil voicing to complement the full-range warmth of its two humbucking voices. Thus, Voice 3 captures all the spank and grit of a bridge-position ceramic single-coil pickup.
Three alnico-tinged tones to choose from
Most commonly used in the neck position, Fishman’s Fluence Modern humbucker boasts a trio of versatile voices.
Voice 1: This mode replicates the high-output punch of an active alnico pickup. This voice will surely be your go-to if you’re after a full-bodied response with superb note-to-note definition and expressive dynamics.
Voice 2: Hunting after a classic neck humbucker tone? Voice 2 is sure to please, providing crisp lows, articulate highs, and a vocal-like fluidity when paired with your favorite dirt pedal or gain-laden amplifier.
Voice 3: Just like the Fluence Modern Humbucker Ceramic, this pickup now boasts a third single-coil voicing. Glassy highs, round lows, and unmatched clarity, this setting provides a stunning alnico-style single-coil tone.
