An Exquisite Tube EQ with Digital Control

Boasting pure analog circuitry and a breathtaking 26dBu of headroom, WesAudio's ngTubeEQ offers some of the most musical sound shaping we've heard here at Sweetwater. This ear-grabbing tube equalizer flaunts four fully passive, inductor-based bands with a 22Hz–28kHz frequency range and 12 selectable frequency points per band, along with active lowpass and highpass filters. You get plenty of sonic options with ngTubeEQ; its dual-output design includes both tube and transformer coloration, plus you get adjustable harmonic distortion and proportional- and constant-Q modes. Moreover, ngTubeEQ brandishes both moderate and extended operating ranges to accommodate a wide array of applications. Finally, ngTubeEQ supplies you with flexible digital control, automation, and recall. Simply put, ngTubeEQ's top-tier sound and ultra-efficient workflow will blow you away. In fact, once you get a taste of what you can do with ngTubeEQ, it will achieve permanent "in use" status in your studio.

100% pure analog circuitry

Even though ngTubeEQ includes tons of bells and whistles, its circuitry is all analog, all the way. This purely analog tube equalizer flaunts an impressive 26dBu of headroom, and it features four fully passive, inductor-based EQ bands spanning a 22Hz–28kHz frequency range with 12 selectable frequency points per band for ultra-precise adjustments. These passive bands are further bolstered by active lowpass and highpass filters with complete bypass capabilities, equipping you with flexible — and eminently musical — sound shaping.

Endless sonic options

When it comes to flexible frequency sculpting, you'll be hard-pressed to top ngTubeEQ. Its dual-output design features tube and Carnhill transformer options, along with an electronically balanced option. With ngTubeEQ's adjustable harmonic distortion, you can achieve everything from subtle warmth to pronounced harmonic coloration. Your choice of proportional Q or constant Q allows for versatile sonic shaping, with both modes including a variable Q control for even more detailed frequency response adjustments. To top it off, ngTubeEQ sports both moderate (-5dB to +5dB) and extended (-15dB to +15dB) operating ranges, allowing the unit to accommodate a variety of applications.

Reviews

Best EQ Ever
The WesAudio NG Tube EQ is hands down one of the best EQs on the market right now. The flexibility is unreal — it lets you dial in great sounds almost instantly without overthinking. The tube character adds depth and polish without ever getting muddy, and the recallable, modern workflow makes it incredibly easy to use in real sessions. It feels like a perfect balance between analog tone and digital control. In my opinion, this EQ has set a new gold standard and easily belongs on any serious mix or master chain.
Quite possibly the best analog eq ever created!
I own and have owned many superb analog eqs and multiband compression as well as tone shaping units like coils ca-70, ltl silver bullet 1&2, gml 8200, solid state pultecs, dangerous bax, knif soma, miad 4040s, carnaby he2, michelangelo, maselec ml4, etc.

In addition, modern digital eqs have made astonishing process especially around dynamic, spectral resonance supression, and colission/masking detection/prevention.

The ngtube is the apex predator in all of this. Ridiculously featured but most importantly absolutely top tier sound across the board: low end, midrange, high freqs, mid-side, clean and harmonic distortion choices, just incredible sounding.

I sold my miads, michelangelo, mastering 500 series pultecs, and soma is next to go! Just incredible...
The SECRET SAUCE!
I'm shocked more people aren't talking about this box. It's one of those pieces of gear that instantly makes tracks sound better when you them through, even if you're not adjusting anything. It will happily live on your mix bus, but I also use it a lot for vocals and LOVE it for the drum bus or stereo acoustic guitar. The plugin control is an awesome feature too, I have my own presets for everything so I can quickly print individual tracks through it and then put it back on the mix bus.
