Raising the bar
With its modular design, the Prism Sound Dream ADA-128 accommodates demanding pro applications as well as the needs of your growing studio. Hosting up to 20 modules and 128 channels in a single 2U chassis, the ADA-128 satisfies the full Dolby Atmos channel count spec, making it a powerful, compact solution for immersive surround format projects. In developing the Dream ADA-128, Prism Sound brought three-plus decades of R&D experience to bear. The result is a conversion platform that sets new standards for flexibility, capacity, and performance.
Unprecedented routing flexibility
The Prism Sound Dream ADA-128’s Advanced Digital Routing Architecture (A.D.R.A.) facilitates flexible internal/external interconnectivity with point-to-point routing throughout its modular configuration. Occupying a scant 2U of rack space, the Dream ADA-128 accommodates up to 20 plug-in modules. Four of the slots can house a variety of 64-channel Host Modules supporting Pro Tools HDX, Dante, and more. In addition to routing analog and AES3 I/O to and from Host media, the ADA-128’s unprecedented routing versatility permits analog routing to and from AES3 without using up Host slots as well as Host-to-Host bridging.
Versatile clocking for multiple concurrent workflows
The Dream ADA-128 has four independently synchronized clock generators (QClocks) that may be run at different sample rates and with different sync sources. The ADA-128’s Host and I/O modules can be dynamically assigned to these Clock Domains, facilitating multiple concurrent workflows that allow separate studio or ingest stations in a multi-suite setup to simultaneously share a single ADA-128’s resources. Every I/O Module, as well as the unit’s onboard Routing Module, features dedicated DSP capability, which will accommodate a wide range of future functionality to be added easily via software download.
The ultimate conversion solution
The Dream ADA-128 leverages Prism Sound’s proprietary Verifile technology, which enables every ADC in the system to add nanoscopic metadata to its dither signal, permitting downstream processes to confirm that every sample in a stream is exactly as was when it exited the ADC. This reduces the need for unreliable, time-consuming listening tests of every second of every digital recording. These and many other unique capabilities make the Prism Sound Dream ADA-128 the only conversion solution you will ever need, whatever the application.
