The Meeting Point of Artisanal Tradition and Breedlove Innovation
The Artisan Concert E spearheads Breedlove’s premium Artisan Series of acoustic guitars, tying together traditional tonewoods with modern Breedlove appointments. A redwood top kicks off this Concert E with a warm, deep, and responsive sonic foundation, complete with Sound Optimized X-bracing to deliver optimal clarity and a more lively response. Next, East Indian rosewood back and sides compound the Artisan Concert’s voice with emboldened bass and lush, singing overtones. What about playability? The Soft C Honduran Mahogany neck sports a classic Breedlove carve to aid your navigation of the 16-inch-radius ebony fingerboard, while a traditional 1.75-inch nut width accommodates players of all styles with roomy string-to-string spacing. You also get a plethora of high-end upgrades and aesthetic appointments, including Breedlove’s pinless Delta bridge, beautifully inlaid purfling, and marvelous Mosaic Pin fingerboard inlays. Rounded out with road-proven LR Baggs Anthem electronics and Gotoh SE 780 tuning machines, the Breedlove Artisan Concert E is the perfect 6-string partner for acoustic-electric performers with a penchant for premium tonewoods and modern performance.

Impeccable Artisan-grade tonewoods
While the majority of Breedlove’s Artisan lineup features Adirondack spruce tops, this Artisan Concert E flips the script with a premium redwood soundboard. The result is a warmer, more complex sound that’s often likened to cedar. However, redwood boasts a slightly more defined voice than most strands of cedar, making it an exceptional choice for fingerstylists seeking a darker vibe than your average spruce-topped 6-string without compromising on clarity.
To complement the depth of the redwood top, Breedlove rounded out this guitar’s body with East Indian rosewood back and sides. Rosewood’s natural density and harmonic-rich timbre offer a pleasing complexity to balance the tone of the top. It all adds up to a timbre that’s balanced, powerful, and dynamic all at once, allowing you to take on any genre or playing style with impeccable Breedlove tone.

Forward-thinking Sound Optimization Process
Every made-in-Bend Breedlove guitar benefits from the company’s proprietary Sound Optimization process. Sound Optimization is a data-driven process that accounts for the inherent variability in natural tonewoods and ensures every guitar performs to its full potential. So how does it work? First, Breedlove sands each tonewood to a desired weight (most guitar companies sand to a uniform thickness). Once the braces are glued in, the company’s luthiers use soft mallets, microphones, and specialized software to analyze the top and back frequency response. They then voice the braces by hand and constantly remeasure the frequency response to ensure the top and back resonate to predetermined target frequencies.
Breedlove’s groundbreaking combination of data-backed technology with the art of lutherie ensures that its instruments sound unlike any other. The guitar comes alive the second you pluck your first note. Each Sound Optimized guitar offers a huge dynamic range with striking note separation and clarity. Plus, the sustain is out of this world. Breedlove believes in its Sound Optimization technology so much that no instrument leaves its Oregon workshop until it performs to its full potential — even if that means carving on the bracing through the soundhole. With a Sound Optimized Breedlove guitar, you’ll experience a level of performance and sonic consistency that you can’t find anywhere else. Not sold yet? You will be once you play one.
Breedlove: guitars you can feel good about
Since its founding in 1990, Breedlove has focused on reducing its impact on the planet without compromising the quality of its instruments. This radical approach to sustainability led Breedlove to create a Tonewood Certification Program and commit to visiting each location where its timber is harvested to ensure specific sustainability standards are met. The company has introduced player-centered innovations, including top-loading bridges, custom voicings, and unique neck profiles. From the Roots to the Artisan to the Collector, each and every Breedlove is made with an uncompromising dedication to quality sound, flawless workmanship, and environmental sustainability. Buying a Breedlove is much more than purchasing a top-notch acoustic guitar — it’s buying a guitar that you can feel good about.
