Custom-shop-level construction and detail
The Billy Corgan Signature teems with richness and warmth, thanks to its chambered korina body. Korina, a medium-light tonewood with mahogany-like sonic characteristics, delivers all the resonance you can handle, along with a lively, responsive, and harmonic-laden sound that's guaranteed to inspire. This solidbody electric boasts a maple neck and fingerboard, both heat treated at over 300°F for an eye-grabbing look and added stability, along with a 6-bolt neck plate for added sustain and tuning constancy, plus a convenient dual-action truss rod and a tone-heightening Boneite nut. The guitarists here at Sweetwater have found the Billy Corgan Signature's 12-inch-radius, 22-fret fingerboard to be among the most playable around. Finally, a hand-initialed, serial-numbered headstock lends a high-end, custom-shop vibe to this top-shelf electric guitar.
Ultra-versatile electronics
The Reverend Billy Corgan Signature churns out enough high-octane tone to pulverize a jack-o'-lantern. This hot-rodded axe's Billy Corgan Signature pickups vaunt a cutting-edge design derived from Railhammer's acclaimed humbuckers. These ceramic-loaded, dual-coil, P-90-style pickups feature rails under the wound strings for tight, clear lows, along with poles under the plain strings for smooth, soaring highs — with zero hum. These pickups are a complete reimagining of the classic P-90, combining the vintage model's clarity and articulation with the thick, muscular sound of a humbucker. Billy Corgan Signature pickups also exhibit a cocked-wah-inflected midrange bump that sounds amazing with heavy distortion or fuzz. You'll dig this solidbody electric guitar's Bass Contour control — a passive bass roll-off that not only tightens your low end, but also revoices your pickups. Everything from scorching high gain to bluesy leads and country-fied twang is easily within the reach of the Billy Corgan Signature. You also get a treble bleed circuit that preserves your high end when you roll back your volume control. Reverend's proprietary custom jack plate and Pure Tone jack round out the Billy Corgan Signature's robust features.
Top-of-the-line hardware
When you dive into the Billy Corgan Signature, you'll find high performance in every component. This guitar's Reverend Pin-Lock tuning machines lock your strings in place for out-of-this-world tuning stability and lightning-fast string changes. A patent-pending triple-tree string tree features an extended bar that holds down three strings at a time with a single tree. You'll adore how this string tree safeguards against G-string buzz in the guitar's nut slot. You also get a string-through-body bridge with stainless steel saddles for percussive attack, maximum sustain, and a solid tone that takes off like a rocket.
