Active Bartolini pickups and preamp for amazing tone
Plug your Lakland Skyline 55-OS offset into your amp or audio interface, and get ready for amazing tone, thanks to the onboard Bartolini MK-1 split-coil soapbar pickups and HR-5.4 AP preamp. The pickups’ split-coil design bucks the hum while delivering huge tone. They’re amazingly responsive, too. Dig in, and they growl with the big cats. Pull back, and they’re sweet and clear. Go ahead: slap and pop — they thrive on abuse! The 3-band preamp gives you boost/cut controls for Treble, Midrange, and Bass; you can even select from three midrange center frequencies with a 3-way mini switch. No matter what style of music you play, the premium electronics in your Lakland Skyline 55-OS have you covered for killer tone.
Skyline Series: excellent quality at an affordable price
The Skyline 55-OS electric bass gives you Lakland quality for a great low price. That’s because the Skyline 55-OS, like all Skyline Series basses, is made overseas and finished in Lakland’s stateside shop. So, regardless of where it was originally made, each Skyline 55-OS passes through the hands of Lakland’s US luthiers long before it finds its way to you. And when you add to that the fact that your Skyline 55-OS comes equipped with the same electronics and hardware as its US-made cousins, you know you’re getting an amazing deal.
