Made from ABS resin for enhanced durability
An important aspect to consider when purchasing a student bassoon is durability. For those reasons, Jupiter constructed the JBN1000 from robust matte ABS resin. Unlike wood, ABS resin is impervious to damage associated with fluctuating temperatures and humidity changes, while also being resilient against normal wear and tear. Yet, ABS resin has a look and sound reminiscent of wood, with a full-bodied tone and a pleasing top end.
Full German key system with silver-plated keys
To allow full exploration of the instrument, the Jupiter JBN1000 bassoon offers a full German key system with 22 silver-plated keys, which includes a high D key and a plateau C key on the third finger of the wing joint.
