Georges and his son Leon, an accomplished clarinetist, merged old-world craftsmanship with scientific advances in acoustic design and manufacturing to produce a line of clarinets with remarkable playability and consistency. Leblanc launched Leblanc USA in 1946 with the assistance of Vito Pascucci, who had earned a reputation as a skilled instrument repairman for the Glenn Miller band.
