Stellar 12-string Tone from La Bella

Get the best tone possible for your 12-string with La Bella’s Phosphor Bronze strings. These strings are made from La Bella’s exclusively formulated bronze and tin alloy, producing a bright, crisp tone — ideal for that classic 12-string sound! First introduced in the ’70s, this line of phosphor bronze strings has become La Bella’s most popular acoustic set among a variety of players in various genres, and it’s a favorite here at Sweetwater.

La Bella’s string expertise reaches back centuries

While La Bella strings are the top choice for world-famous musicians such as Willie Nelson, Bryan Adams, and Ron Carter, their heritage reaches farther back — almost four centuries back. Starting in seventeenth-century Salle, Italy, the Mari family was famous throughout Europe and even supplied violin strings to Amati and Stradivari. Brothers Emilio and Olinto Mari moved their string operation to New York in the early twentieth century, and the modern-day foundation for La Bella strings was born.

7GP-12XL 12-String Phosphor Bronze Features:

  • Exclusively formulated bronze and tin alloy strings produce bright, crisp 12-string tone
  • Made by a company with centuries of experience in string production

Reviews

Holy Crap!
Holy Crap, where have these strings been all of my life??!!
I've played gtr for about 50 years (gawd, that sounds awful) and I've always had an acoustic 12. Could never get anything what I'd call a 'comfy' set of strings through Ibanez's, Epiphones, Takamine's, or my Taylor which is what I have now. They were ok, but still would kill yer fingers even after this many years. Somehow I found these LaBella Extra Lights. REALLY REALLY great feel and sound. I've only just put them on, so we'll see how they hold up as far as shows, but so far, I'm loving the feel and sound of them. I've never written a review for strings because they're usually pretty generic, but these are really above the norm for 12 strings.
Please keep making them and selling them!

Great strings
I have a Gibson J45-12 that these strings sound great on. I actually prefer a different set of strings for my other 12 string because it's a jumbo with lots of bass. But the J45-12 has a lighter sound so i prefer these strings because the bass strings have a little more umph. At the same time, these have less tension than heavier gauge strings. I recommend trying them out.
