Reviews

Really improved the tone of my old Flatiron N1 model
I have a 1983 Flatiron mandolin. I was is a beautiful old beast but bright. I've tried a lot of different strings to mellow the tone a bit. These are magic. When recording the Flatiron with the Thomastik-Infeld light gauges strings, it is hard to tell the difference between it and my Collings Mandola! These strings saved me from buying another mandolin.
Definitely Worth it
I was skeptical. ...bucks is a lot for strings. But let me tell you I have been enjoying these strings for 4 months and had no problem at all. I go through phosepher bronzes in like 3 weeks or less. so don't even think about the cost.

What about the sound? Well, theyre fuller, more balanced and offer superior dynamics to regular strings. You certainly lose some high end, but mandolin can afford it under almost every circumstance. They feel excellent, sound excellent, and last a long time. Basically a no-brainer.
Superior Mandolin Strings
If you’re looking at these but on the fence because of the pricing, INVEST! These strings are much easily playable than a standard set of phosphor bronze mandolin strings, they lack the chirp and shrillness that a lesser set will give you when you’re playing hard, and they are extremely comfortable on your fingers!
Music background: Touring Musician
Disappointed
These are pricey. The brightness just isn't there.
