Unparalleled Flexibility for Fearless Engineers
Designed for adventurous studio engineers, the Josephson Engineering C700S offers the ultimate in sonic flexibility, accuracy, and sound quality. This microphone includes three condenser capsules: two figure-8 capsules arrayed in a front/rear and side/side configuration and an omnidirectional capsule. Each capsule has a separate output, so you can blend each signal to taste. The individual outputs also allow you to create multiple polar patterns, including omnidirectional, cardioid, supercardiod, M-S, XY, and more. You can even create five primary surround channels for immersive audio formats. The microphone array is internally shockmounted, so you can attach it to any mic stand without any issues. Take it from Sweetwater; the C700S is an amazingly flexible microphone capable of any polar pattern — it’s certainly the perfect choice for challenging productions but you'll soon find yourself wanting to use it every day.

Unique triple-capsule design
The C700S builds on the sonic success of the C700A by adding a side-facing figure-8 capsule to the mix. In total, you get three microphone capsules, a 16mm omnidirectional element, a front-facing 26mm figure-8 element, and a side-facing figure-8 element. Each microphone capsule is tuned for neutrality and accuracy, giving you an honest and lifelike sound on any source. What’s more, the microphone includes a 7-pin XLR cable, so you can blend each channel to taste. With this sort of flexibility, the C700S can record any source in any stereo configuration imaginable.

Suitable for any application
With its unique condenser capsule array, the Josephson 700S can create almost any polar pattern without having to worry about time alignment and phase issues. Every capsule’s signal can be adjusted in mixdown, too. Thanks to the individual outputs and 7-pin XLR cable, you get access to stereo mid-side, XY, omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-8, to name just a few. Plus, the C700S can provide five surround channels for immersive formats. Whatever polar pattern or surround format you need, the Josephson C700S can do it — and then some.
