Practice Longer, Later, and Safer with L80s

Zildjian L80 Low Volume cymbals are real cymbals that play at a reduced volume — up to 80% less volume — thanks to a unique perforated pattern. This means you can play them exactly how you play any other cymbal, using any stick, mallet, or brush in your stick bag. Unlike cymbals with foam mutes, the 10" Zildjian L80 splash is vibrant and responsive and will make your precious practice hours translate into better performances. It's the obvious solution for quiet rehearsals and late-night practice at home. Get real cymbal feel and sound at a reduced volume with the 10" Zildjian L80 Low Volume splash.

Get Gen16 volume reduction for less money

Zildjian hit a home run with its line of Gen16 electronic cymbals. Now you can get a similar low-volume, great-playing cymbal (minus the electronics but with added affordability) in the Zildjian 10" L80 splash. Zildjian's L80 cymbals are crafted to behave like a real cymbal for satisfying practice sessions.

Make your practice hours count

Apartments, dorm rooms, and shared practice spaces are prime candidates for the 10" Zildjian L80 splash cymbal. Paired with mesh heads or drum mutes, this cymbal dramatically reduces your sonic footprint wherever you jam.

Zildjian L80 Low Volume 10" Splash Cymbal Features:

  • Up to 80% quieter than traditional Zildjian splash cymbals
  • Sweetwater recommended for apartments, dorm rooms, and shared practice spaces
  • Sounds and responds like a real acoustic cymbal
  • Can be played with any stick, mallet, or technique
  • Specially crafted for practice and low-volume rehearsals
  • Protects your hearing
  • Stacks on other cymbals for unique effects

Reviews

the little cymbal that could...
it splashes. it crashes. it slices. it dices. but one thing it doesn't do is make a lot of noise. this thing is definitely quiet and because of its size, is the quietest out of all the l80 cymbals, but strangely, it still sounds like a splash. can't complain. it's made well, looks cool, quiet as can be, but still sounds like a splash. and a good one :)
Love these low volume cymbals
If you need low volume BUY THESE. They work and sound great. I have every L80 model they make and every single one is worth buying.
Zildian Low Volume Cymbal
Sounds great. Not too loud which is what I wanted for playing in my home. Goes well with my other low volume Zildjian cymbals.

Zildjian is still the best cymbal company in the world
I've recently purchased Evans low volume cymbals they are really good but Zildjians are much better sounding I purchased 10inch I plan on purchasing more of these cymbals different types in the future I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants a great cymbal for a reasonable price choose these and always choose Sweetwater they are the best in the industry Kevin Flaherty 25 years playing loving drums.

Zildjian L80 Low Volume Splash - 10"
I bought this cymbal ideally for creating a low volume hi-hat set. I have combined this splash with an A Custom Zildjian 10" splash I bought years back. I am happy with the combination of the two. I am using a DW aux. hi-hat hardware set up, putting my A Custom on the bottom(heavier cymbal) and the L80 on the top. It has a quiet chick sound, and a quiet open hi-hat sound as well. I think this will work well for quiet coffee house gigs, or potentially whatever gig. I did not give it the 5 out 5 just because the sound is not absolutely perfect. I am assuming the alloys are different for each cymbal, thus they are not identical sounding. Certainly a minor exception to what I feel like is a product. I may use this cymbal on its own for various uses such as practice and gigs. Thanks Sweetwater!

Ask any drummer at Sweetwater, and chances are, we'll tell you that Zildjian represents the gold - or rather bronze - standard in cymbal making. Seriously, Avedis Zildjian may have been trying to make gold, but he did even better when he formulated what's arguably the best cymbal material on the planet. We've played virtually every type of Zildjian cymbal out there, and you won't find anyone at Sweetwater who wouldn't happily recommend their instruments to you, plus their sticks and other accessories are also pretty sweet. Whether you're grabbing your first S or Planet Z pack or have saved up for the A or K series cymbals you've always wanted, Sweetwater is your source for all things Zildjian.
