Mackie Thump

The Mackie Thump series of speakers — which includes the Thump 12A, 15A, 12BST, 15BST, and the 18S sub — gets its name from the thundering low end it is known for producing.  Each speaker in the Thump series line features an impressive 1,300 watts of power with Class D amplifiers. Mackie’s famous Dynamic Bass Response system taps a higher voltage supply for better response to transients and music driven by big low end.

The Thump series features built-in 2-channel mixers with Vita preamps and Wide-Z technology that lets you connect microphones, line-level, and instrument signals. The Thump series also offers application-specific speaker modes at the press of a button. For the A models, users can choose Music, Live, Speech, and Monitor; meanwhile, the BST models offer two additional Sub + options.

Thump series speakers even include an XLR through output for ultra-easy wireless connection to additional Thump speakers. The Thump Boosted (BST) models go one step further by offering a built-in 3-channel mixer. There’s also a stereo Bluetooth input for streaming music directly from your smart device. You can wirelessly link your Thump Boosted speakers together in stereo or dual-zone modes. And to top it off, no matter which wireless setup you choose, it can all be controlled from your iOS or Android device.

Mackie knows that their Thump series speakers are utilized in all types of venues around the world. That’s why they have included a Power Factor Correction feature that keeps unstable AC power reined in for optimal performance. Plus, a universal internal power supply means you can plug in Thump series speakers into any wall in the world!

Built from powder-coated metal grills and plastic enclosures, all Thump series speakers are lightweight and rugged. The Thump series also includes four carrying handles, one at the top and bottom and one on each side, for lots of carrying options.  Whichever Thump series speaker you choose, they’ll not only deliver amazing sound, but they will also last for many years to come!
