Celebrating Human Creativity from the Beginning
Impact Soundworks was founded by composers Andrew Aversa (also known as zircon) and Wilbert Roget, II (known for his work on Mortal Kombat 11, Destiny 2, and Helldivers 2), two friends who initially set out to create the virtual instruments they needed for their music. To this day, the ISW team consists of working musicians in every department.

An Obsessive Commitment to Truly Great Sound
Whatever it takes to create an exceptional sample library, the Impact Soundworks team is determined to get it right. They go to great lengths to capture the right sound, whether that means testing a dozen microphones or even modding the instrument itself to achieve more consistent recordings. They continually iterate on the technology under the hood, too, developing new technology and features such as their custom SpectralFusion DSP, which contributes to smoother legato and more realistic performances.
Built by Musicians for Musicians
The musicians behind Impact Soundworks develop every product with working composers and producers in mind. This means finding the sweet spot between powerful realism, when you want to really dig in, and ease of use, when you just need a good sound in a hurry. On the guitar front, they’ve got your needs covered from simple rhythm-guitar loop collections to powerful Shreddage virtual guitars that can be programmed to sound just like the real thing. And the rest of their catalog similarly balances accessibility and realism.

Inspiring Instruments with a Unique Approach
Every Impact Soundworks library is distinct. Some are one-of-a-kind instruments you won’t find anywhere else, such as the extraordinary collection of retro game sounds in Super Audio Cart 2. Others are essential flagships that feature an exceptional level of detail, such as the Shreddage and Rosette guitars. And because the Impact Soundworks team always strives to exceed their own exacting standards, their instruments have become internationally renowned for consistent quality and outstanding sound.
A Focus on Authenticity & Transparency
In an era of automation and marketing hype, Impact Soundworks aims to be trustworthy and real. This can mean sharing an open and transparent development process, as with flagship products such as Tokyo Scoring Strings or Super Audio Cart 2; working with experts to authentically capture instruments from other cultures; and representing products accurately with demos and videos that clearly show how to use them.
