Ampeg SVT Pro

The Ampeg SVT Pro Series adds modern flexibility to the classic tube preamp design that has made Ampeg the preeminent name in bass amplification. Relying on solid-state power amps, Ampeg SVT Pro Series bass amp heads — including the Ampeg SVT-7PRO, SVT-3PRO, and SVT-4PRO — deliver a room-filling, full-spectrum sound, with crushing lows, crisp treble, and a wide dynamic range. With their Class D power design, Ampeg SVT Pro Series heads operate without the need for heavy transformers or heat sinks, and they weigh a fraction of their all-tube counterparts.

Modern bass players demand flexibility when it comes to shaping their tone, and the Ampeg SVT Pro Series heads provide. The Ampeg SVT-7PRO includes bass and treble tone controls, high- and low-frequency boost, and an enhanced midrange shaping section, which allows you to select five midrange frequencies to either cut or boost. The Ampeg SVT-3PRO and SVT-4PRO add to that a 9-band graphic EQ. Additionally, all three heads are equipped with an FX loop for blending in your favorite bass pedals and effects.

The Ampeg SVT Pro Series heads are stellar performers both in the studio and on stage. They include direct outputs, which can be placed pre- or post-EQ, for shaping your sound before it hits your recording interface or the live console or leaving it untouched for later processing. Of course, nothing beats the combination of an Ampeg bass amp head and an Ampeg bass cabinet. And the Ampeg SVT Pro Series heads pair perfectly with a number of options, from the compact Ampeg SVT-210AV 2 x 10-inch cabinet to the monstrous Ampeg SVT-810AV 8 x 10-inch cabinet. Whether you’re playing small clubs are large theaters, Ampeg’s range of cabinets has you covered.
