Why does my WMS 60 microphone system sound louder or softer than another WMS 60 system set to the same gain and volume level?

The receiver provides a rear panel “Balanced Line/Mic” switch that sets the balanced audio output to line or microphone level. This lets you connect the receiver to either a line or
microphone input. If one of two systems connected to the same console sounds softer or louder than the other, then the level switches on the two receivers are set to different positions. Set both switches to the same position.
