What are the Supported CPU Models, Speeds & Requirements for the Digi002 RACK?

Note – the best performance with Mac OS X and Digi 002 Rack is achieved by using fast dual processor Macs. Slower, single processor Macs will work with Digi 002 Rack, but at a reduced track and/or plug-in count.

Power Macintosh G4 (AGP graphics) Dual Processor

* “FW800” Models – 1.25GHz, 1.42GHz
* “Mirror Door” Models – 867MHz, 1GHz, 1.25GHz
* “Quicksilver 2002” 1GHz
* “Quicksilver” 800MHz

Power Macintosh G4 (AGP graphics) Single Processor

* “FW800” 1GHz
* “Quicksilver 2002” 800MHz, 933MHz
* “Quicksilver” 733MHz, 867MHz
* “Digital Audio” 733MHz

Apple PowerBook G4

* 2003 model 17″ 1GHz
* 2002 models 800MHz, 867MHz, 1GHz

Apple iMac

* 1GHz 17″ LCD Flat Screen

The following computers are qualified for use with the Digi 002 Rack, but may result in lower performance:

* Apple PowerMac G4 (AGP graphics) – 667 MHz and under
* Apple PowerBook G4 – 667 MHz and under
* Apple iMac Flatscreen – 800MHz and under
* Apple iBook “Ice White” Dual-USB Models – 800MHz and under (900MHz model not tested)

The following computers are unsupported for use with Digi 002 Rack with Mac OS X:

* Apple G4 cube
* Apple PowerMac G4 (PCI Graphics)
* Apple PowerMac G3 Blue & White and older
* Apple iMac (G3 models)
* Apple eMac
* Apple PowerBook G3 (“Pismo”) and older
* Apple iBook (“Clamshell”)
